Thanks for all the comebacks guys!! I know wind and pipes have alot to do with it! Also my 52 year old (working in a noisy job for 29 years) hearing has a bearing on it also! But if I'm l am gonna listen to it I want it to Rock! Never to old to Rock & Roll!!!
John,
Has it correct he led me down this path and I don't think your going to go wrong. I went with a refurb unit from ARC on the amp same warranty everything but less an extra 100 bucks into it for about 500 bucks J&M 7 1/4 in the front and 5 1/4 in the rear speakers all four from DR VTWIN and amp from a car audio shop in Modesto where ARC amp resides.
quote=JMJOHN;6054843]J&M 7.25's in the fairing with the Arc Audio mini 125 amp ,,,,, will give you the absolute best bang available outside of building speakers and large amp into your saddlebags , ,,,,,[/quote]
So whats it cost to Really listen to the music on a ride! I got stock!! I wanna hear it/enjoy it!! What's it cost.....Who makes it!!??
Its no mystery. Better audio requires better, bigger equipment. Need bigger speakers in the fairing, and a high quality amp to provide cleaner, more power to them. There's 4 talked about here on this Forum: (HawgWired, Hogtunes, Arc Audio, Wet Sounds). If you have lowers, might consider getting speakers for the lowers as well. While your in your fairing, replace the cheap speaker wire with quality speaker wire, Monster Cable speaker wire will suffice, but there's certainly better depending on your economy (Audioquest, Cardas, etc).
I'm a 'frustrated' audiophile (can't really afford what I really want). Could easily spend $100k in one day on audio equip.
