Love my Hawg Wired set-up as well. Even added a Sony head unit that has USB control. Over 1000 songs on one USB drive under the fairing never have to change CD's again.

Try this simple and cheap way to better hear your music...wear ear plugs...yes...ear plugs. Drops the offending wind noise and the noise of the bike itself... Trust me it works....[/QUOTE]

I can see how that would help,, I could even hear my stock sound system with an HJC Full face helmet on this winter.... Better than I thought I would.

I will be wearing a half helmet in warm weather, I guess I will be noticing the difference then....
Probably have to spend more bucks on the bike then,,,,,

Also, a large windshield or tall one will keep a little more wind noise out than a short one. I used a dyna zorb mat in the inner fairing and it too helped a little, then I added some cheap kenwood tweeters and it helped a little. I've been told the speaker grill on my standard is not optimal, so I'm going to replace them as well. All these things won't make a big difference, but a noticeable one and won't cost you very much at all.

hawg wired is the best bottom line, I have the doulble shot amp/spealer combo, install kit and a sony radio , the amp and spealer combo if you stick with your stock radio list for $845.90 , I bought mine from dumbassbiker.com for $760 , if you shop they may even be a better deal, instructions are well written, installation is easy and their tech dept very helpful, my bike is stroked and loud, I run a 4" wind deflector and yet can hear my radio fine running 85 down interstate

Tell me more about this rca mod? I have the arc amp along with arc 6.5 and seperate tweeters. I am sending my 08 HK radio to iron cross to fix the damn no sound issue and may do that mod if it works/sounds better.

Can you see the red Hawg Wired speakers through the cover?
