Default CVO pipes on non-CVO bike

Anyone out there ever put a set of CVO pipes on their bike that isn't a CVO. I got a set of CVO Screamin Eagle 4" pipes that were never used off a friend. They are the catalyst type. I'm putting them on a TC 88 engine with a vance& hines fuel pak to tweak the fuel. Just curious if anyone else has done this and how it works.

I put a set of 04 SE FLHT muffs on my Road King, made a TON more HP and TQ on the bottom end compared to the Thundercones that were on it and lost 1 HP 1 TQ on top, but they were way to quiet!

quiet is what i need.......Massholes are making more noise about loud pipes than the pipes themselves!! Plus, they' re starting to check and require the EPA stamps on the exhausts

would'nt putting catalyst mufflers on your bike choke it down, and cause heat conditions and loss of power?

The 4" CVO takeoffs (esentially unmarked Screamin Eagles) are more free flowing than the stock exhausts on my ultra......they even flow more air than the SuperTrapps im currently running.....some even tell me the Supertrapp SE Slipons are the same animal as the CVO SE Slipons.......at least, this is what i'm hearing

Actually, it makes one a product of necessity........New sound laws are annoying up here, and I need some "UMPH" without the "BOOM".

I put some cvo mufflers on my 2009 classic...They were nice and quite...But I lost power and noticed a lot more heat due to them being cats...I am currently running mufflers from a 2010 model and loving them

Old thread but I was doing a search on CVO so...

Put a set of 2003/4 (?) CVO slipons on my 2007 Ultra and they are pretty quiet but power is much better than stock. Don't have the part # at the moment but I believe that was the time frame they came from. Lots of low end though and ridability is good so they are staying on. Got them on ebay for about $150 so couldn't resist. My only gripe is that they weigh a ton.
