What is the Concentric Baffle,,, What adavanges over the stock baffle ?

Has anyone had both ??

This would be for a 09 Street Glide ,, That I'm getting ready to add SE255's and TTS/Dyno Tune.

The concentric baffle might add a little more back pressure than the big bore. Here is the way they are listed on D&D web site. http://www.danddexhaust.com/catalog/2009/09/556-31.htm
BAFFLE OPTIONS
- Stock Engine - Concentric baffle
- Modified Engine - Big bore baffle
I had the stock baffle on my 2008 ultra 103SE. It sounded so so, but the big bore baffle on my 2010 110SE had the sound I was looking for. They can be loud and not for all.

I put the D&D Fat Cats on my 2010 Ultra Limited. When the pipes got ordered there was a mistake and they sent me the Wraped Baffle. I had a choice of Consentric-almost loud, Wraped-loud, and Big Bore-real loud. I order the Consentric Baffle. I did not notice the error until a put a few miles on them. D&D sent me a new Consentric Baffle which is a little quiter than the Wraped Baffle. It was a little tough getting the Wraped Baffle out so make sure you check to see you got the right one before you fire it up.

With the Concentric baffle do you lose performance?

From talking to D&D before ordering my exhaust, if you are putting SE 255 cams and a tuner on a 96 inch motor the concentric baffle will help with torque due to slightly more back pressure. As I am going to a stage II 103 kit they recommended the perforated baffle. I went with the wrapped perforated baffle (which they indicate flows the same as the perforated baffle but is 15% quieter).

If you want to be sure, call Leonard at D&D he is great to talk with and will tell you which of their products would be best for your combination. I went with the 556-32BQ for my 2010 Street Glide.
