Please list how tall you are.
if you currently have apes list the size you have or wish you would have gotten. also please list if you use a windshield, or push the bars forward, etc.

16" in line with forks.

Only use a shield when I have to.

Love the 16", could have gone with 18", and been happy as well.

I don't have same bike as you, but I am ordering my apes tomorrow. Have been kicking around the height for months. I knew Cyclesmiths 13" would not appease me, so I considered custom 14's or the Wild 1 14's. After much more deliberation and reading of members "wishing" they went taller, I am going to order 16" Cyclesmiths. I was also concerned about the pullback of some (11.5 inches on Wild1 compared to 8.5 CS) Too much would be uncomfortable for me I believe.

Its my opinion, go big or go home

I previously had 12" apes, just put 16's on. They feel good so far. Have not been out with them and not sure how far forward of forks they will end up. I use the shield quite abit, would say 80% of time.

I'm 5'9" Running 16" with the Badlander seat puts me down a little lower. I am very happy with the height.

Oh...forgot to mention they are pushed forward. About 1/8" from touching my windshield when it's on.

I have 13" and am 5'11. I really like them and wouldn't want to go any taller

I put 18" chubbys on a brother's 05' Road King and he absolutely loved it. He road it 200 miles the next weekend with no issues, and I road it home (good times). We set them so that is quick release windhshield could still be used (he never used it.....). The wiring harness and clutch were easy but I had a local shop do the throttle cables. If you've got the wingspan go 18. If not, you'll be happy with the 16's.

Ride safe.
