The $1500 includes gear drive and 5 hrs labor. Not brave or savvy enough to attempt it myself.

Do you know of a decent shop in So Cal that would do it all for a $1000?

I think I missed out on all the dealer Winter Specials.

Thanks in advance for any help and your insights.

Primo

P.S. Nice numbers!

Primo - I did not go with the gear drive cams so I am not sure how much extra that would be. The winter special helped me a lot on price but the service manager also gave me a decent discount on top of that. Take a look at my dyno sheet and you can see where I had it done. I did it with my 10k service and it was less than $1,000. I have a decent relationship with this dealer and the service manager is great. It is where I bought my bike and they have done several mod's for me. I am reluctant to say the price I paid as it was a really good deal.

Does that sound like a decent price?
Including dyno time, that is the price a friend paid on his 05 88ci out the door. Same cams, gear drive and adjustable pushrods.

Update: Found another well established local Indy with a good rep that will do all I mentioned above PLUS new lifters (I'm at 35k miles) for $1510 OTD.

Parts are no where near $1000. More like $350. My dealership did this for less than $1000.

Can anyone post a dyno sheet on their results with the S&S 510 cams in their 88ci?

Not for 510 gear drive cams. About $700 for the kit, maybe a bit more.

Sorry, I don't have the sheet any longer as I sold the bike. But, it had a pretty nice curve with 80hp/85tq. V&H BSS and a/c. PC111 with a good tune.
Keep in mind that the S&S 510s do come on a little later than some other choices.
