Hey FLRYDR, Thanks much. I think this would be a pretty sweet setup.

 

I have the Fastaire smoked 9 inch and love the look. Just scratches pretty easy. (most aftermarket's do) so ya have to be pretty careful cleaning it. Even my 3 pocket windshield pouch left white marks on the shield. I've had 3 Fastaires and for the price they're great, but I think for my next shied I'm gonna try these guys;f4customs
A bit pricey but I'm almost there with 3 Fastairs already. I saw them at Americade. They had a windshield set up with steel wool wiping across it. Half was treated and half wasn't. I thought it was a stunt because the treated half was scratch free and the untreated half was...well think on what your wind shield would look like if you wiped steel wool repeatedly across it and you get the idea.
Anyway, its another option....

 

Clearview windshields have the "Euro lip" at the top and offer vented shields also. Very top quality. Cost is more than some of the other shields and the wait is longer as they make them to order. Well worth the cost. Quality is noticable over the less expensive shields........

 

Here's another one that has got a gimmick that's hard to beat. You can get their shields in any height with a "recurve" that makes any sized shield work as if it was about two inches taller.
