The Flash2Pass unit is great.

Excellent customer service as well.

Much less than $$ than the HD unit.

You can also do the "household" garage remote soldering thingy if you like taking fairings off to change batteries.

I use the Harley one , but the other way works just as well and would be a lot cheaper. I just don't have a spare switch hole in my faring, I'm using them all. I don't like the Idea of just clipping one on the bag to easy to get legs.

I have the HD one, and I like it.. a lot of people say that it is too expensive, and that there are other cheaper ways to have the same option. I received it for Christmas a few years back and I love it. It could use a little more distance, but hey, its better than having to take your hands off the bars to get it to work...

I added the combined Spot Cruise Switch to keep the opening I was using for the opener switch available. I started with an Odometer reset switch pictured here. I have since changed out to the power lock switch like another member posted and I can operate two doors from one remote velcro'd up inside the fairing cap.

Flash2Pass IMO.......buy it from Eastern Performance......best deal out there.

http://www.easternperformance.com/pr...ge-Door-Opener

$64.95 to my door, no tax or shipping.

HD's is $129.95 + tax.

For what it's worth, I spoke to THE guy from Flash2Pass this week, he informed me that they were the exclusive supplier for HD's version until recently HD decided not to renew their exclusive rights to his product.

He told me it was actually a good thing, he sells more of them now.

Yep, I got my Flash2Pass on eBay, and I'm very pleased. The install was so easy, a caveman could do it.
