I'd use eBay as a last resort. Too many people trying to lowball you or get you to stop the auction early with no guarantee the buyer will come through.

I've sold several bikes using Craigs List and have had very good success. I always specify "local pickup only". That way, there is no need to worry about trying to ship.

Another vote for:

I sold two bikes on this site. No, it's not just for choppers.

Did you list it on HD Forums?

Strange that no one has endorsed the classified section of this very forum.

+1 on listing it in the classifieds section of this forum. I've sold lots of parts here and all transactions have worked out great for me and the buyers.

Ebay has a free local classifieds section now where you can list your asking price and it will show up in searches like a real auction. I've used it for two bikes and never had any issues.

I know there are people out there who hate eBay, but it's the easiest way to reach the largest number of buyers.

Might want to watch this one and see what it sells for.

Ebay will reach the largest number of prospective buyers. It depends on how soon you need to sell. You could try starting out on the classifieds here, cycle trader and craigslist, and move on to ebay if you're not getting the action you need. Good luck with that. I wish I was in the market right now, I'd be all over that.
