lose the TD's for 2-1? Which one?
I'm adding the following mods next week to my 09' FLHTCUI; Redshift 575 HS cams, SE flattop pistons, SE quicke pushrods, PCV with autotune. I already had V&H fuelpak, SE ventilator, and Rinehart TD's. I'm not planning on doing the heads this year so my question is do I lose the TD's and add a 2-1 for ultimate performance or will the improvements only be negligble for this type of build? I had a Rinehart 2-1 on my RG and it was a blast to say the least - if one would benefit from an exhaust/header change, what is the top performing and sounding setup? Thanks in advance.

There are a lot of choices. A lot of guys push the D&D here and it's a great pipe. There are also a few other options that will perform similarly, like Supertrapp, Bassani, and the guys that make the LSR and Blackhole systems. Thunderheader also has a really loyal following. Different builds respond a little differently to a given pipe. Confusing, isn't it?

I had 2 to 1 Thunderheader on my glide. I loved the sound of th TH, but after a trip of 400 or 500 miles, it get too be too loud. So I switch to SuperTrapp, and what a diference it made. 2375 miles round trip to Daytona with no probs with the noise. I even gained 2 lbs of tq going to the ST. It has just a little more back pressure than the TH.
