Adding the GPS mount from the 2010 Limited CVO Ultra
I am adding the 2010 CVO Limited Ultra Zumo mount to my 2009 Ultra. It mounts through the dash pad and all the parts are easily ordered through any HD dealer with these part numbers;
1106 Screw
1107 Screw
7686 Locknuts (2)
92346-10 Mount (accepts garmin cradle)
92466-10 Retainer (goes inside fairing for support)
57885-10 Pad (dashpad specific to cradle mount, already has holes)
This will make for a much cleaner look and get the ugly mount arms off your handlebars.
I am taking lots of pictures to add to this and should be done with the mounting tomorrow afternoon and I will finish this thread after that.

Hey Chicago Spike...
This is Steve in Pensacola from the old VTX Forum...I am VERY interested is this project!
I have one question for you that you might or might not know...will this mount work with the ZUMO 550 unit? I don't see why it would not...but my local dealer does not have one of these models on the floor that I can get my hands on to check.
Hope you're doing well...

I did this about 4 weeks ago. Looks great and works good up until yesterday. Hit a 3 lane wide bump (think speed bump on the expressway) and the GPS flew right off the bike - Garmin 665. The mount is great and easy to install (the 11/16 bit was hard to find). I used a 9/16 and dremel tool.
This had nothing to do with the mount but the cradle the zumo sits in.

I have been off roading(on Montana's construction rerouting ) and over several huge bumps with my 660, over 8,000 miles on the bike with it, it has never even wiggled. I might suspect that the few units that have fallen out, were not properly in the cradle in the first place. After popping my unit in, I grab it by the sides and pull and twist to be sure it clicks in. I have heard it click after I thought it was already locked in, when I did this quick check of pulling and twisting.

Not sure what you mean?? It is the mount that will accommodate the Zumo 4 bolt pattern seen on the 550 and 660. You supply the power cable and the cradle to attach to this mount
