Any one have a little vib in rear brakes on a 2010?
Just wondering if anyone has this, it feels sorta like the abs has kicked in when you use the rear brake to come to a stop, the problem is I don't have abs, they checked the rotor and it was 19 thous out of round, replaced it with a new one and it's not as bad but still does it, the only time it will do it is when you get on them a little hard, just wondering if this the norm with the Brembo bracking system.

Mine doesnt do it.....brembos are top shelf brakes, Id bet its something else.

My 09 Ultra has a shudder similar to that when decel braking with the rear brake only.
HD Milwaukee tech (supposedly) told the attending dealer that "they all do that", and could re-create the problem at will on a 2010 Ultra and an 09 RK. They blamed it on the motor mounts being collapsed temporarily while the drive system pulls the motor down on the mounts while decel braking with the rear brake. I call BS on that and they haven't heard the last of me yet. Good luck with yours...... |
No issues like that like on my 10, sitting at a little over 1k miles right now

Yep, happens to mine every now and then. I think it's the pads glazing. I haven't put the Lyndalls on the back yet, so that'll be a good test. It's moronic that H-D doesn't offer a floating rotor for the rear of the Brembo bikes.

does it happen if you pull the clutch in?
New isolation seems to transmit some vibes on decel through rear brake |
Clutch in or out, doesn't matter. A couple of good, hard stops seems to solve the problem.

vibs
A friend and I both have 10's with the same problem. Not identified but clearly feels like engine vib on deceleration.

I have a 2010 Limited. I live in the mountains of TN and notice it occasionally when going downhill and braking hard before a turn. Hit and miss when it happens I just back off a little and add more front brake.

Yep My 2010 Ultra with ABS does it.
