Iphone Ipod tip

Iphone Ipod tip
I recently read a post by a fellow forum member about setting the equaliser function on the Iphone Ipod function.
I thought I would check out my settings and came across a setting that I had forgotten about and this has caused me some concern recently.
I found that the Ipod was skipping songs every now and again whilst on the bike. I had some concerns that the vibration could be causing damage to the device even though I know it has a solid state hard drive.
There is a setting called "shake to shuffle", and this is designed to skip to next track if you shake the Iphone. Set that to off and suddenly the device has stopped jumping tracks intermittently!

I have had that happen after syncing to an update
from apple and it drove me crazy for a couple
of days. I finally called tech support and when I
was told to check that and found it set on "shake
to shuffle" I felt about like an idiot, and believe
me I don't think I will forget to check that setting
if it were to skip tunes again.

Good info!! Leaving in two days for San Diego, that would have po'd me. I use the tank pouch from HD for my iPhone that works real well also. Another tip with the iPhone is to put it on Airplane mode in the settings. Otherwise on long rides the iPhone constantly searches for a signal, emails and other things that drain the power. Nothing more frustrating than listening to a song you love and then oops, dead battery.
