Amsoil syn in motor
tranny oil in tranny
Primary oil in primary
Different components have different needs, there isn't a 1 fluid fits all.
Because Harley puts the same in all holes doesnt mean it's the best.
Just because it will work doesn't mean it's the best for your bike

If you think Harley is proud, try pricing redline. That will make you pucker.

Engine, AGIP 10W60 full synthetic PAO base.
Primary AGIP 5W40 full synthetic PAO base.
Trans AGIP 80W90 gear oil, mineral base.

Imported from Italy, where "synthetic" still has to be synthetic.

Amsoil, don't like the advertising, marketing and comparing other brands to their own, which always rates the best.

Avoid Mobil, as they won't tell me what they use for a base.

Avoid Castrol, as they started the cheating.

Avoid Shell, as they marketed a new oil and all that changed was the label.

Mobile One in the engine and primary with Redline in the trans. The one thing I have noticed is Mobile One doesn't seem to blacken as soon as alot of other oils I've run. Harley can keep their oil.

BUT it seems there is no best oil to use is there?

What should I put in the tranny? Is valvoline 80w-90 DuraBlend Synthetic Blend Gear Oil ok for that??? http://www.valvoline.com/products/br...nd/gear-oil/62
