Couldn't help but read this thread, this last year I sold a suburban to a guy that rattle canned it inside and out black. He then comes to work one day and tells me he started painting his 05 Sporty that was a beautiful blue and had won several awards at bike shows and I bought a 76 Ironhead from him he had done the same thing to. Guess to each their own.

I met a poor man at a motorcycle rally at Greenleaf Park in 1985 that had painted his scoot with a paint brush and the ugliest Brown color I've ever seen. The bike was his only means of transportation and it was easy to see that he was very proud of his motorcycle. He had a tent, sleeping bag and a small ice chest. Talking with him it was easy to tell how humble a man he was. It made it very difficult to be critical of his bike or the paint job. You just never know.

Paint, is paint, is paint, to some people. My Dad was that way. He didn't care if any of his cars, trucks, or tractors had any paint on them, or what color it was or how bad they looked. If he would have ever owned a Harley, he wouldn't have cared one bit about the "paint job" on it either.

Yeah,I was thinking of painting my motorcycle just to change the color also and some of the chrome parts a few weeks ago with a black spray can paint.I mention it to some of the people here,it was funny to me I got the "look" like are you okay or something like that,it wouldn't matter to me also.I wanted to get some feedback from them it was just too funny.I held off.
