Thanks Guys! Now I have options!!

I took the back plate it came with and curved it. I took off the fender tip light mounted up the street glide rear fascia and mounted the curved back plate to the holes left by the tip light. I can take pictures tonight hopefully.

Get the chrome cover for the lense if you do not want to buy a new lense. It covers the old license light. I used a old plate mount I had in the garage from Kuryakin. Had a led light above. Drilled into the light bar from behind and used a HD rubber snubber under the plate to keep from hiting the fender like on the RG. Easy to wire into the tail light. The power is there on the board when you take off the lense.

I don't think it's up to us to decide that. If a policeman see that you don't have a tag light, he might have a different reaction.

I have a 2009 and moved the plate down the tail light using the ultra model turn signal bar wich is shorter and has white leds to light the plate. now I have to cover the 3 ugly holes in the rear fender. any ideas? I dont want to re paint the rear fender....
btw with the ultra turn signal bar you have light on the plate so the best and cheapest way to make the tail light all red is remove the red plastic cover and paint the inside with red bulb paint. will look like stock and imo is better than the chrome cover because with the chrome cover the tail light looks less bright. this worked to me. |
