The adjustment is in the bolts that hold the light bar, two on each side. You may also find the right side hand grip is lower than the left one, the mirror stems make them level not sure why they are that way?

jim,
Would those bolts ever have been loosened or removed during 1,5, or 10 thousand mile services? I noticed that one of the bolts with the star fitting is sort of rounded out. Ive owned it since new.

I did have the outer fairing off as I was doing other work. Loosen the pinch bolts and tweek the the tubes. My fairing was aligned properly with the upper tree and the bars. The wheel needed to shift. It was just hard getting it just right.

I have the PYO bars installed and swore they were crooked or something. Proved that wrong with a straightedge. The right side is just a touch closer than the left. Don't know how many miles i've put on closing one eye, then the other, then back. Thinking I was crazy. It's not bad enough that I don't think anyone but me would notice. Good to know there's a fix at least.

Sounds like someone has removed the forks and did not follow the correct install procedure so everything will line up.

Different setup but I have the same issue with my RG. I've had it all apart to change to the '10 and up mounts so I think its my fault. I see the slight misalignment in the difference between the console and the radio. It's very slight but enough to irk me. Unfortunately this will be difficult because I have no solid reference of alignment when I tweak the mounting points.

Ok so is it the two pinch bolts on the lower triple tree or the two star bolts that hold the lightbar assembly that I should be loosening? I know get a repair manual.

I have the same thing going on my 02 Electra Glide. I got out on a nice flat stretch yesterday, set the throttle lock, then raised my hands just off the grips and the bike immediately pulled left. I work with a guy with a newer Glide and he can set his cruise and run down the road with no hands on the bars.

Is the pulling "normal" or would this indicate that mine needs a powertrain alignment? I looked it up in the factory service manual and the process looked pretty vague.
