Black clip on throttle body support bracket???

Ok this must be something new on the 2010's. There is a clip that comes from the back and over the front of the throttle body support bracket. Was gonna take the bracket off to install my a/s but got this little surprise. What is it for and does it attach anywhere behind the bracket???

I tied mine up to some other wires with some zip ties when I installed my FM a/c.

So does it just slide up and off???

Yep! Mine did anyway.

Cool. Just didn't want to break anything important. So any indication on exactly what it is for???

The black plastic clip holds the harness for the automatic compression releases. You can remove the clip and easily zip tie the harness out of the way.
