Awesome Thread....Thanks to Bubbas1 and wife, and to bigb_flhtcu for all the great info. I plan on attacking this project soon and hope to update audio, and all gauges at the same time as well as color matching the inner fairing. Now if I could only find pictures of an '11 Sedona Orange color matched Streetglide faring with black or racing white gauges to compare, then I would know what the final decision would be so that I could move on with the decision.....anyone out there have pictures of a Sedona Orange dash to show me? thanks again to all for making this a great thread....it sure saved me a bunch of cash!!!!

Very good write up and should help a lot of guys on the fence about digging into it.

iMAK79...go to page 14 post #134 and follow the link in there. Another member was kind enough to put it up on his web page. He has it set up so you can download all the instructions with the pictures onto your computer.

Thank you, bubbas1. Highly appreciated.

Thank you for this post. I tore the fairing apart today after work. I will put it back together tomorrow after work. My only complaint so far is that I have to drive the wife's Fiat 500 to work tomorrow. Let the stupid jokes about downsizing my ride commence...

Great write up and add ons. To those that have done this, it appears most have taken the inner to a painter or purchased an already painted inner. Has anyone painted the inner themselves? If so, what paint did you use? I assume a quality spray on paint? Also is there much prep work and priming before painting? I would like to think a light buffing with 0000 steel wool, a spray can of krylon primer, a can of krylon black spray paint in high gloss and a final coat of kylon spray on gloss for added shine? Thoughts?

Thanks
