They do seem to take a lot longer than other shops, but my 'biggest' beef with them was when I ordered a set of poly riser bushings for $40, and they sent me only one, single, bushing.
It took me some talking to finally get them to agree that $160 for a set of poly riser bushings was just totally nuts.
The guy on the phone conceded that "the parts guy screwed up" and he sent me the other 3 bushings, but the time from order to receipt was 6 weeks.

I'll use them again ..... but only to collect parts for those 'one-a-these-days' projects, and not for anything I need to do in a hurry (read: a couple week or so).

If you haven't gotten an email at all from them, give them a call. I've waited on parts from them before and have just called to find out how much longer to wait. They may have an eta for delivery or when they expect to receive it in stock for shipment.

I ordered from them. After giving plenty of time to receive my seat, I called them. "Yes we have your seat in, we'll ship it in a few days!!" Now I use Zanotti's no problems!

I've bought parts from all of the BIG 3. Chicago, Zannotti, and Lakeshore.

Lately, Lakeshore has gotten all my business for several reasons.

1. Their prices are just a little better in most cases.
2. They offer free shipping on bigger orders.
3. They allow Paypal checkout.
4. Online account history showing all past or pending orders.
5. They have very good communication by email.

June Sparks at Lakeshore is very good about emailing a tracking number as soon as the item ships. They will also notify you if there will be a delay due to special order.

Check them out here" LAKESHORE HD

I find that I have always gotten the best price via Zanotti's when all was said and done. I have tried Lakeshore and they have been higher total on every order. Zanotti does 1. 3. 4. and 5. As far as 2. even with the shipping Zanotti's has beaten Lakeshore for price on everything I have ordered. right now I am going to order 57744-11 shipped price Zanotti is $215. Lakeshore $240 and that does not include what they will add for shipping. I am sure some items are cheaper but I have not found anything that I was ordering.

I ordered from Chicago and had to wait for the order. I didn't get an email either. After I called they shipped a part but it was the wrong one. I had to send the part back then get the correct part. I wasn't overjoyed with the delay or lack of communication.

Typically, internet orders take a back burner (unless) they have a dedicated
person to do just that (not likely) So maybe they're only getting proccessed on a weekly basis.

Also, dealers will put their special orders on the weekly stock order to get their discount. Rather than pay dead cost they pay 2% - 5 % less for stock orders. This can turn a 3-5 day order time into 7-10 (business) days.

20 % off is good, but is it worth the wait or paying shipping?
Depends I guess. I can usually squeek a 10-15 % discount here locally.

I emailed Chicago months ago for price & availability on a part # and they never responded. I still got their monthly mailer, but no reply on my email.

I've used Chicago HD for quite a while now. However, lately I've noticed they are slowing down considerably. I talked with some of their customer service guys who have told me that they hold all the orders till they have $50k worth. Then send it in so they can get the 20% discount. In my case it took a week after I ordered before they had enough to send in. So that explains why they are slow I guess.

I've had friends use them and when they call inquiring about their orders they all get the same thing..."Well, your gettin' 20% off"...... I tell you, that gets real old.

Next time I'll try Zanotti's!
