I thought the fender skirt looked cheap on my PKC and I had plans to replace the fender with a SG fender. The cost of a fender blank and paint was too rich for me at the time so I put it off until I hit the f'n deer.

I called M&Ms and Mark told me he can order SG fenders prepainted (vivid black) for far cheaper than I could have the raw blank painted. The bike looks 100% better with a smooth fender IMHO. Maybe I should thank the deer - maybe not.

Funny I had the same thoughts with my Fatboy...ended up with a clean touring fender. I guess we had the same ideas just different bikes. Loosing the rivets would be nice but no holes or chrome did the trick for me. Wanna buy my old fatboy fender?

When I repainted the bike, I bought a stock looking, rivetless fender from RWD (Russ Weirmont (sp. ?) Design) that I'm happy with:

http://

The fender was purchased through Eastern Performance Cycles (an HDF sponsor) for $225 or so.

It fits slightly lower than the OEM front fenders from HD.

Carl

PS: I'm always surprised to see repaint/custom paint that retain the fender rivets.

Native Custom Baggers lowering kit utilizing the chrome screws to mount instead of welding. I wanted a little bit of something in the fender, tried mating a Old No7 bumper and spears, but that didnt look good. Ended up with what you see in the picture.

Lowered and clean.

I just got done taking the flare out of the bottom of mine. Didn't know what it was for and no one could give me a good reason to keep it!

I think a smaller than stock fender on a RK looks out of porportion unless you have a 21in wheel.

I found on my denium black FLHT that the orange/red reflectors/lights distracted the eye. To many colors make things to busy.

The smoked lenses made everything blend much better. The chrome lowers and cowbells make the aluminum skirt look out of place, so the skirt gets chromed this week.
