XM has an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau for their cancellation and billing scams.

Even if you like the service, they do not deserve any business.

I have to agree but if you want fresh newer music or access to the cable networks or key financial info while riding, XM's you're only choice. And if you are going to subscribe at least make sure you're paying the least possible amount.

The point of the thread wasn't about whether or not it's worth subscribing to XM. I think everyone has their own experience and either likes it or not.

I assumed when I started the thread that those interested in the topic had already made that decision and like XM radio but just want to save some $.

Back on November 12 I had my monthly subscription "suspended/paused" until Feb 12. They said to call back before Feb.12 to pause it again until April when riding season will be here in WI. When I call back I'll push for that $77 yearly subscription and say heck to the pausing of the monthly. Thanks !!

Good info
Rumor has it that I'm getting a Zumo 665 for Christmas

Do you think I can get the $77 rate as a new customer, or do I need to wait a while?

I tell XM it is in my snow plow truck and I only drive it in the winter ... so I'll pay 1/2 price or turn it off, and they cave every year, & I listen 12 months a year

I called and said I wanted to cancel my service and go to Dish because they were cheaper and they lowered my bill $39.00 a month. BTW I never intended to use Dish, they don't have Hot Pass.

This also worked with AT&T home, work and cell phones.

You can get it a lot cheaper. I called to cancel over a year ago and they gave me 5 months for $20. Then after the 5 months I called back and they renewed it for another 5 months for $20. Guess what I did last week? Thats right renewed it for 5 months for $20. That comes out to $48 a year. so you guys can do better than $77 year. Each time I called I had to tell them I want to cancel then they transfer you to another department. The time before last, the woman just told me to call her office direct to get the $20 deal and I wont have to threaten to cancel.
