Whiskers, I "WISH" I knew a way for my Road King to capture the nostalgic look that your bike just drips. I never get tired of looking at that bike.

THANKS GUYS! Personally, I think the guard rails (front fender, saddlebags, rear fender) more than just about anything else carry the nostalgic look from the front to the back of my RKC. While fringe isn't for most people I kind of think that leather still helps set them apart (Chilhowee Leather is a good company and has been great to work with). If you've seen one of these bikes from 2002 you'll notice that the fenders are a solid color - adding the white made it look a bit different.

I really believe all RK's out of the box lean towards nostalgia and each of us finds our own way to carry it forward. I appreciate all your comments. BTW, my bike has 35,000 miles on it - and its one I won't ever sell. The kids can fight over it when I'm gone.

I haven't been on the forum much as in the past and I hadn't seen your bike before. I've always been a fan of the older HD emblems and yours especially really sets that bike off. Well done!

Ride safe!!

what do you guys think about me adding the chrome fender and bag rail in pursuit of the Classic look? Too much chrome can't be a terrible thing? My other thought is to change out the bars to something a little lower and wider, but I've not ridden a bike with the beach style bars yet.

I think it looks pretty sweet - I especially like your solo seat.
