Here is my steed, '08 RKC with 2014 hard bags. Only a little adjustment to the brackets was all that was required to make them fit. If you guys are thinking about goping with the newer hard bags, do it cause they fit.

I was able to tighten it all the way up, no trick to it. Mind you, I removed the factory ring. The instructions said to put the visor over and hooked behind the stock one. There's absolutely no way the visor was going to fit to do that. Hope it answers your question?
