Brake caliper rebuild + photos

Worked as advertised
I would have never attempted this without such clear direction. It took an air-hose to at 125 psi to get the pistons to pop out. But...that was not a big deal. I also would have never check to see if all four pistons were working. As it turns out two on one side and only one on the other. Now they all work like they should. Brake lever still pull back 3/4 of the way for a full hard stop. I wish it was a little sooner. They are proper bleed.

If you have locked up pistons in your caliper, the lube the OP used will probably work for a while, but the usual reason for the lockup is piston corrosion. It will do it again once the pistons finish is comprimized. The HD kit Dawg listed will make your caliper like new, unless the caliper bores are also corroded. I'm surprised the kit doesn't include new anti rattle springs though?
I would never reuse the o rings at the very least.
Also any grease on the caliper is a potential hazard that close to the pads and discs.
Great tip from the poster that used cedar shims for piston removal!

Good for you OP. The only thing I would add is installing speed bleeders instead of OEM bleeders. You will thank me later.
