I had one of the early predecessors to that helmet back in 1980 when I was racing open-wheel cars. I know Simpson isn't the same company anymore but back then they were the absolute best. I still have the helmet displayed in my living room. Probably my favorite out of all the helmets I've had over the years.

Mine had a nomex liner with an integral skirt that really worked well for cold weather riding.

For me, as long as it's not too hot, full-face helmets are the most comfortable.

Enjoy yours.

Nice choice.

Since you're budget is well equiped, your next one might be a Roof Boxer V8

Now get yourself a J&M headset to go inside the helmet to listen to tunes and you are all set. I went to the J&M from the Harley headset and man what a difference. Over the years I have found that listening to music through the faring speakers is crappy at best, even with J&M speakers in the faring. Their high quality headsets are really kick ***. No distortion, no wind noise, just music and clean intercom audio. Connectors mate perfectly with the HD DIN plug jack.
I like the looks of the helmet. I hope it's built good inside...I am not familiar with that manufacturer. I wear a full face all the time, and now days its a Shoei RF1100. Enjoy your new helmet.

I am not normally one to be critical but that is one ugly lid. I would not be caught dead in that thing. All good for you and I hope you dig it but not for me.
