Added my free SaddlebagSecure and a rubber $7 shorty antena (which works great), washed her and waxed her and took her for a spin.

Default 400 miles and back on Sunday

to the Goodwood festival of speed near Chichester UK. Had a good chat with the guys at Krazyhorse customs and watched some of the worlds most expensive race and street machinery 'on the hill'.

Did the 15K service for the ride to Canada across and down to Sturgis. Tired of the I-90 route every year.

I put on split-vision fairing mounted mirrors a few weeks ago and I haven't been very happy with them. So today I took off the fairing and swapped the mirrors to the other side of the fairing (upside down with the convex mirror on the bottom instead of the top). Drove her around in an attempt to get to 1,000 miles before taking her in for her 1,000 mile service tomorrow; got close (951).

Still not happy with the fairing mounted mirrors, so I came home and started searching the forum for creative ideas to cover the holes where the mirrors are mounted. I think the idea I like the best is to use caliper inserts to cover the holes. I'll be picking up the parts when I drop the bike for service tomorrow, so I'll start a new thread and post some pics when I'm done.
