Default Gauge Swap

Removed the worthless Ambient Air Temp gauge, and installed an engine Oil Temp gauge w/ sensor in the oil pan.

Default Adding handle bars to my new FLHXS

I'm taking my '14 Street Glide Special to dealer to get half apes installed along with a few other mods. Here's a before pic.

I removed the baffle tubes and cut a 90 degree V in either side about halfway between front and rear with the V pointing forwards.
then I inserted a 90 degree piece of heavy sheet metal that's about 1/2 x 1/2 x 2 1/2 across the center of the baffle tube in the V cuts and weld in place.
Then I welded a second one in the outlet of the tube at 90 degree's to the first one and the point facing out- no cutting just weld it to the inside of the tube.

You could add more if you want it quieter but 2 worked for me.
Overall it took about 1/3 of the noise away, 50 mph cruise is pretty nice now,
still plenty loud when screwed on. I did notice the bike runs a bit better and stronger at low rpm now, I have not noticed a loss of mid- top end power although there could be.

Default Installed V&H Power Duals with High Output Carbon Fiber Tips

Retired my Rush slip on's and installed a Cobra Fi2000 Tuner with the Vance & Hines Power Duals with the new High Output Carbon Fiber Tip Slip Ons. The sound is different than the Rush slip ons which I really liked. Seems quiet at cruising speed and barks when you get into the throttle. The Fi2000 Tuner is everything that they claim it to be so far. Very easy to install and starts right up with no problems. Seems as though it took 10 to 20 miles before it really started to come alive. Runs great and a really good power band from 3000 rpm and up.

Looks great. The temp gauge sure is not easy to read. I should do the same. How hard was it to install the sensor in the oil pan?
