Bluing on Rinehart exhaust
Hi, well I'm new on the forum and one of the reasons I joined this forum was due to my just having purchased a new 2011 Street Glide, before this bike I've ridden a 2000 Heritage for 11 years.
In any event, I'm planning on purchasing a set of Rinehart mufflers to slip on my stock head pipes and wondering if anyone has experienced any bluing on these mufflers?
Thanks
Louie

Thanks everyone for reponding so quickly. The only reason I asked specifically about Rineharts is due to these are the one I'm planning on getting. And no I've not heard of any issues with them, I was just curious, due to the closeness of the Cconverter being so close to the muffler. And I was told by the factory that there is no issue with installing a set of 4" slip-ons to my stock head pipes.

If your bike it stone stock, it is running LEAN and hotter than it should be.... thus a probableTURN BLUE situation on any pipes and mufflers. My advice is to have a fuel managememt system installed by a good Harley Tech. This could be a Indy and not a HD dealer. He can tune and program your bikes computer and get it running right. It will be richer, thus cooler and it will get less gas mileage, but thats the price we pay for a properly tuned motor.... hdman
