can someone tell me what they recommend for air pressure in the shocks?

Don't exceed 50# will blow out seals.

i looked in the manual and it didnt really say much.

Look in your owners manual again.
Starting on page 70.
Then refer to the table on page 72.

It will give you the recommended air pressure for various weights.
(Solo rider, rider plus passenger, total weight, etc.)

I run 12-15 solo and 20-25 two-up or solo with full gear. Im about 165lbs and 10lbs of gear on board. Rough road condtions may dictate higher levels to avoid bottoming. If you get a small hand pump you can adjust it on the fly.

So THAT's why everyone has had so much more pressure then I run. I kept going back to the manual to see if I was doing it wrong.

Any recommendations on a small hand pump for this application? I got mine at 25 but just got the bike and haven't experimented with them yet.

The HD pump works great.
