Also check the battery terminals whenever you service your bike, they have a way of coming loose, especially if you have extra electronics added on.

Use star washers - In addition keeping the bolt tight they kinda dig into the lead posts creating more contact area. Once everything is tightened up use somee dialectic grease on the posts and nuts.

About $150.00 or so. I just yesterday bought a Interstate battery for $92.00 always had real good luck with them. I don't understand why people have to have a HD battery ? most people don't go to Ford to buy a battery for their car. If you get a good quality battery, It does not make any difference what brand it is IMHO.

your bike was running fine before the incident it seems like. if so, then recharge the battery, clean the terminals and reinstall tightening the battery bolts securely. this is the "no cost solution" that may or may not work. hopefully your stator or other parts didn't go south on you while your battery cable was loose. try the no cost solution first, and if it doesn't work, then check out the other parts in your charging system. that's the most practical advice i can give.

Make sure you check your battery connectors too! A lot of times when they become loose and you try to start your bike the battery will arc to the terminals and cause a carbon build up that won't conduct current. You have to make sure you file, sand or grind off the carbon before you reconnect the battery. If all you did was tighten your connectors and hooked it of to a charger through your Battery Tender connector it may not have ever had the charge reach the battery. This has happened to me a time or two.

Harley doesn't make these batteries. You just paid about $80 for the name. Shouldn't have cost more than $100 for a comparable battery at Batteries Plus. All you need is a sealed AGM battery. I guess if you were set on the HD brand then that is what you got and paid for it. But there are just as good of options out there for a lot less money.
