Congrats Pastor John, beautiful machine!, change is good every once in awhile. I go back and forth every few years from road glide to e-glide, you can't beat the still air behind a ultra classic, enjoy!
Not trying to poke the bear But there sounds like their is some owner abuse to be having that many issues with an '08.
Given all the bikes you have listed under you Tag, it might be your riding style and not the bikes fault.
GW...you need to spend some time here and learn who these riders are. Pastor John is a long time member of the forum and he takes dang-good care of his bikes....though I'm still a little miffed at him for getting rid of an incredibly beautiful Road King!
I think my mistake was to try to bump start the engine without coming to a complete stop. That caused the damage. Fortunately, I managed to go around the stopped car and avoided collision.
Shouldn't be a problem to bump start it the way you did, bikes are always moving when being bump started. Nice skills avoiding the collision and congrats on the new ride!
Congratulations on the new bike. My 2008 Road Glide didn't have any problems but then again I didn't have near as many miles as you had on yours.
I just wanted a change so I swtched to the EGC.
Like you I'm loving the upgrades HD has made since the 08s.
