Thank you guys. I loved my Fatboy, but I haven't stopped smiling since I rode this thing home last night. I was so happy today at work I probably earned myself a "random" drug test soon.
The dealer told me not over 50 MPH for the first fifty miles and not over 65 for the first 500. He said occaisional "passing" bursts above 65 were ok, but bring it back down under 65 fairly quick. Also told me to do my best to vary speeds as much as possible.
I haven't really done much of a forum search on the topic, but is this break in period debated quite a bit??
This is my first brand new bike ever, so I'm anxious for any help or opinions out there!

Thanks again!

You have very good taste, I couldn't stop smiling for a week. IMO, listen to the dealer and look to your manual for proper break in and you can't go wrong. Your will hear many different opinions but I figure HD has some really good engineers and tool and die guys who know the most about how to break the bike in for max performance and engine life.

The fast color being black is a myth.
The fastest color is a well guarded secret.
I just happen to own the fastest color but can't speak of it.

Ooops. I forgot my signature and picture.
