I wear fingerless deerskin leather gloves in warm weather. They have the gel inserts which are awesome. Not too hot. My experience with going down is you scrape up your palms, not your fingers. Only bad thing is I have tan circles on top of each hand!!!!

When it gets really hot (and it does here), I pull these Joe Rocket Nation gloves out:

I always ride with gloves also. Hands sweat when it's hot if I don't. My favorite gloves are dirt bike gloves. They are usually mesh on top and leather or suede on the grip side. Got my last pair on sale at Iron Pony for $12.00. Can get just about any color you want.

On hot days, I tend to wear long sleeves, but the back of my hands get burnt, especially when the sun is at my back and just reflecting from my mirrors onto the back of my hands. Not that I have it, but skin cancer is a bitch.

I can second the QWI line of gloves, I have full unlined gauntlets, also have cut away finger gloves in both nylon backed and full leather, not been unhappy with them in any respect and the gel pads keep the finger tingling to a minimum. Keep all of them in the TPak for quick retrieve as needed.

I use the Cortech DX gloves for summer riding. Great fit and my hands stay nice and cool.

Ive been using these harley fingerless mesh.

Like them. Strong finger strings to remove them you dont have to turn them inside out like most fingerless. I will tell you when it comes to fingerless go up one size. Full finger buy to fit. Once you go fingerless and relize the benifit of using your fingers for stuff you will like them.
