I like the open space I have on my R/G....
I felt cramped, compressed, and claustrophobic on my buddy's S/G.
I still don't understand the reasoning behind somebody asking hundreds
of guys he's never met, "which bike should I buy ?"
Usually if you have to ask, the S/G is for you....cause the SharkNose bite
will be instantaneous with no questions asked !!!!!

take the OL for a ride on each.... get the bike that makes "Momma happy"......in general terms.... if you have to ask................. then the FLTR just ain't for you.
Yes, up until the day I purchased my FLTR, I thought they were the ugliest bike on the planet..... but I select function over form.

Ahh yes the weekly SG or RG thread...
"Which one do I buy"?
Neither, rent one of each test ride one of each and then see what you can get the best deal on. Neither is better than the other one, buy the one you like, but then again we can't make up your mind for you. You could flip a coin.

I agree with the suggestions to ride both, especially if you can find a windy day. I haven't ridden a RG, but have noticed some buffeting on windy days and passing semis with the bat wing. I have ridden other fixed fairing motorcycles and personally don't like them, it was unnerving to me not being able to see the front wheel when I was doing low speed maneuvers in parking lots. It's somthing that may take getting used to, but I just couldn't get past it.

Yeah that!
And that too. (Except that I have one of each)
Really??? All this time I must have just been imagining that my RG handling is superior to my that of the SG.
