Leaving Eastern SD on the 5th and heading home on the 10th. Been going since 1990 missing only a couple during that time.

Just got back .. Ya I know I missed it but I just wanted to ride the black hills and miss the craziness.. Put on about 1000 miles on our trip and loved every minute of it Got to see everyone riding and hauling out while I traveled east back to home ... Maybe some day I will actually go for the rally .

Returning for a second time, last year was just too good to sit this one out!
Leaving Milwaukee area the 5th or 6th. Eying up a different route through North Dakota.

I will be riding up there for the first time this year from Atlanta. At a little over 1500 miles one way this will be the longest ride ever for any of the 4 of us that are going. I've been to Daytona many times and I'm curious how this will compare. I saw on Google Maps that part of our planned route on I-29 North in Iowa might be closed. I would appreciate any information or advice on that. Should we go up through Minnesota instead?

There may be a detour in the Omaha area due to flooding. I hear that there is a good detour. You should have no problems.

There are detours north and south of Omaha in I-29.
You can get around them if you like.
Another option is to come across Iowa on I-80.
If you take that route, you will miss the detours.

Me and my brother and another buddy riding out for the first time too. Spend a couple days near Stugis @ Rapid City, then on to Cody, Yellowstone, Red Lodge, Jackson Hole etc...over 12 days. Looking forward to a great and hopefully uneventful trip. Be safe and careful riding guys! Don't wanna test out OBAMACARE!!!!
