Default Best cleaner for baked on exhaust crud?

Every time I ride on wet roads, my exhaust headpipes get a baked on rain water crud right at the cat (O2 sensor) area. wiping it off doesn,t phase it abit. I never had this problem with my other bikes. There has to be a good cleaner to make the job easier. Do aftermarket headpipes have this problem? 2011 Ultra Limited

I use a dedicated chrome cleaner, found ant any parts store, for years. They have a mild abrasive and have even gotten melted plastic off my pipes without scratching.

Different crud, but most stuff on mine comes off with EZ Off oven cleaner and a sponge.

( Let it set 10 minutes.)

Haven't tried it yet. Chrome polish didn't work but had a old bottle of chrome cleaner that worked with a whole lot of elbow grease. I figure some cleaners work better then others. Hate it that everytime I ride on a wet road , I will have to spend 15 minutes just trying to get the baked on water spots off. It looks like my headpipe is ruined at first with the rough feeling of the stain

Chrome polish works for me. That little green bottle with the turtle on it, he may be slow but not much slows him down.

Try S100 Total Cycle Cleaner (Aerosol) or BOM'S Away Metal Cleaner

Best chrome cleaner I've found so far is Blue Job. The dealers usually carry it, or you can order it from Amazon. Easy-off for the baked on boot residue.

If all else fails try using fine (xxxx) steel wool.
