Mid-Frame Heat Shields: Which One Works Best?

I installed the Captain Itch crotch cooler on my 2011 Electra Glide and it made a huge difference! Installation was as easy as R&R the seat. No bolts, nuts, zip ties, or loctite. I put 625 miles on over the weekend with one whole day in shorts. Can't believe it was that simple to eliminate the hot spot. It is truly the best comfort ad-on that I've ever used. Made in America!

OK, what's the deal w/spending a tad more for quality...you've got a $21K bike w/~$2K added parts and complaining about spending additional $70 on heat shields (i.e. RJS)...?? Not knocking the Doc, but BS on being "miserly."

Agreed, the wife begged me to put an HD one on her FXDC before we took last weeks rode trip and she claims it made a huge diff....I believe those are made very well. I have not been shy about my concerns with these devices but it was her bike and she didn't want her thighs blistered. Me, I did a tank lift on my RK, it solved any heat issues and opened up the rear jug to get lots of air across it which to me is a solution not a bandaid.

I have both Cap's and RJ's.
I like RJ's for looks the best.
Cap's are easier installed.
They look more like a saddle blanket and look the best on a softail IMO.
The right side of bike is still hot, so went with Rinehart slim-line duals.
This should help with the heat dispersion, at least this is what they are purported to do.
I should have them in 2 weeks. New product only out 4-6 weeks.
