Will the self adhesive units stay put when exposed to the heat under there??

Any suggestions?

Joe Florida seems to be a popular choice.

I had the Custom Dynamics 'Bagger 3' kit. I spent the extra bucks and got the 'Chopper' kit. I also have their Wheel Lightz unit on my caliper.

PROS:
Bright
Stay stuck (even in a bad wreck)
Look good
Very heat resistant

CONS:
Due to the heat resistance, the wire sheathing is thick and somewhat difficult to hide
I don't like having the 3M tape pre-installed on all 3 sides. I understand the theory, but it looks sloppy

Will buy the CD stuff again

Just be careful with what color. Some states will bust you for driving with red or blue lights burning, ( Police Colors.) You can only use them while parked at bike night.

That is an interesting point. Do you have a choice of colors? Most I have seen say multicolor. Any options for bikes that are mostly black vs having a great deal of chrome? Pics or examples might be cool to see.

I hate this thread!

Again, thought I was done, now I'm thinking of these.

Thanks for nothing, in a good way of course.

If you go the Joe Florida, multi-color route, be careful pressing the adhesive to the surface. Don't press too hard... especially near the end that the wire is connected to the strip. There is a capacitor there that gets crushed easily, so don't press too hard. It doesn't take pressure to get the tape to stick, it just takes good contact to a CLEAN surface.

But I really like my Joe Florida LEDs.

Don't let DH here rain on your parade. He probably has crap on his bike we wouldn't like either. 3M tape would work well on his lips

I have put boogie lights on several bikes including some of mine. For my next installment I will use Florida Joe's or custom dynamics. They offer some low profile lights. On the touring bikes the area under the left side of the tank is pretty close to the frame backbone. Real easy to break the boogie lights if you have to remove the tank.
