Forgot I had one, guess I should see if it works.

 

I use my CB on most all multi day trips and all the time if I am riding with another biker with a CB for the reasons noted on the other posts. The most important/interesting use I have had from the CB was on my Alaska trip last year. I talked to most of the "ice road" truckers that I passed (or they passed me!) on the Dalton Highway when I rode to the Arctic Circle. They were all very friendly and helpful. If I saw one approaching me from behind I would slow up and tell him it was OK to pass me. I would even hear the passing trucks tell other opposite truckers that they would be seeing a motorcycle and to the watch out for him and slow down. I also heard one tell another trucker that he just passed a "real" motorcycle for a change on the Dalton! I called him and we had a neat conversation.
