Yeah, the connectors are visible. When I did this mod the only cover for the connectors was the god-awful ugly Kury cheap chrome Star Trek-looking thing. I decided the connector showing is the lesser of the two evils. Yes, if you are looking for it, you'll find it. But it isn't that noticable in person. That said, I am going to get the new HD black cover (p/n 61300110) when I get back stateside. Will also be switching to a Heavy Breather.

These are touring bikes, not show customs......The black connector and wiring blends in with the black on the cylinders....I'm as **** as the next guy and it does not bother me. If any of the colored wires are visible (I have a Throttle Pak) installed, use some black liquid wire covering and coat them...Yes, I'm running the AN Big Sucker with the billet black and raw billet cover.

Yup. Like I said, you have to "looking" for the connectors for them to stand out. Othwerwise they blend in pretty well.

Here is an A. Ness Big Sucker and the standard HD smooth cover for the stage I filter. I like it much better than the football.

That is not a sporster filter. It is a Stage 1 AC from Arlen Ness. You are confused with perhaps the Arlen Ness Stage II or Derby Sucker. Both of those have a larger outer diameter than inner diameter.
