I agree. It's mostly a money situation for me. Couldn't afford the real extended bags. Had to go with the Screamin' Eagle extensions. I think they look pretty good once painted though. And whether they are extended bags or the extensions, I like the 1" to 3" scallop rather than the bags that have the same extension all the way across.

If you go the extended bag route, you can always sell your old bags to recoup some of your money.

Trying to attach a pic of my bag extensions, I am not too good on a computer, hope it works! I have the HD extensions on my 07 Ultra. I would love the harley extended bags, but the extensions were a lot less money. I extended my rear fender (all steel) myself and made my own steel bag to fender fillers. By making my own fillers, I could make them look exactly like I wanted to

...... i wanted that scallop also, just to add a bit more character to the tail end.
.... i won't have pics till deeper into the winter when they get painted & installed

Look at native custom bagger Paul has cvo style bags for less then $500. They chinese plastic but I'm almost positive they from the same mold as Harley. Just like the fairing lowers from china

Thanks for the info. I have been looking for a set of bags like that. Has any body here bought a set from these guys? I am very interested in a set of these for my next bike
