got mine in the mail today

 

The switch on my 09 FLHT went out this summer going up from Las Vegas. The check engine light came on, cruise control quit working and no brake light. Didn't know about the recall; had the switch replaced at Zion on my dime. Sure hope it's the new one! I still haven't received a recall notice.

 

Got mine yesterday but I think I will leave it go until spring when I have my 1000 mile service done. Just spit shined the bike, plugged in the tender and covered her up for the winter. Bryan

 

I never got a freaking notice. I got my ride at the dealer for storage and asked the service manager to have it done, no problem.

 

If you replaced the switch before October 20, 2011 (date of Service Bulletin), there was not replaced with the recall replacement switch. The new Replacement switch has rounded points on the edges. Other than that, it looks the same.

There is a form included with the recall notice to get reimbursed for the replacement of switch before the recall. You will need the receipt from a Harley dealer. Just look at the recall Notice on the pdf listed in earlier posts.

 

Mine came in yesterday.

 

Still waiting for my notice. I was at the Dealer on Saturday and no one said anything about a recall.

Yesterday I got a buyback incentive from my dealer, top dollar on a trade up. Nothing about the recall. Maybe I am supposed to trade bikes before the brakes fail.
