street glide suspension question on rear 18 and front 21
I have a 2010 street glide. The rear has an 18 inch wheel and front has 21 inch wheel. I also have an ohlins rear suspension set up to be stock height however the bike still sits a bit higher. It sat higher the moment I put those wheels on it. Im thinking of putting in the progessive monotubes. Here is the question. Should I go 1 inch lower in the front or will that bring the front end to low and wont match up with the front? Or should I just drop the standard ones in?
I had a 21 on my last 2 bikes and it was 1.5 " taller than the 16" I took off . I lowered the front 2 " to make it work for me. Not sure about how it measures up to the 18" but I have read in most cases people go 1" to 1.5" lower.
Subscribed. I got a 21/17 combo in the mail coming my direction right now. I got a 1" drop in the front right now. I am going to see how much it brings me up.
