Question AIR HORNS - Poll

Pick your fav based on reliability, ease of install, quality of product. These are all equally loud.

Any additional info you want to share, please do.

Any other Air Horn products not mentioned but worth mentioning?

I have the Rivco's on my '09 UC EG, I mounted them on the outside of the lowers on the engine guard. Hid the compressor in the OEM horn cowbell.

I will be replacing the OEM horn on my 2010 FLHP once I pick it up. So I got into doing some research on the various air horns, read through several threads, but I could not find which horn of this lot most feel is the best bang for the buck.

------

Rivco Dual Air Horns $175-$200 - AHHD

Howards Horns $140-$160 - Dynamic Duo Air Horns

Pro Pad $150-$185 - Mini Beast 4 or 5

Stebel Nautilus Compact Air Horn $45-$75 - Chrome

MetalArts $259 - Trumpet Air Horns

MetalArts $259 - Compact Magnum Air Horn

Cougar,
Which finish of the mini-beast did you go with?

If the sound is good and loud enough, the Metal Art Magnum would be the one I'd go with, because I like the "close to stock" look of it.

Other.

Wolo Bad Boy. Sounds greats. Took some time to mount because I relocated the horn to underneath the bike. Didn't bother purchasing the "chrome" version since it's hidden underneath the bike. And, the non-chrome version is a lot cheaper.

Good mounting idea - have you had any issues with dirt etc causing the horn to malfunction?

The Wolo is the same as the Stebel BTW.

Default Stebel horn...

I mounted a black Stebel on the RH Rear-Shock of my 02 RoadGlide. You can "barely" see a small portion of it if you know what you're looking for. Price is right, plenty loud, and a very easy installation. A buddy of mine has a Rivco on his Road-King...install was a PITA...I like the looks though.

I have a Howard's Horn set-up on my 05 Softail...no issues, great set-up and plenty loud.

My vote: Stebel on a bagger from a price and ease of installation standpoint...and Howard's Horns for a softail from an ease of installation and form/function standpoint.

I had a Stebel on my old bike, a Kawasaki Nomad. It was an easy install and worked great.
