The wrist angle is different, I never had problem with it however. The biggest difference with a beachbar set up is you may have to adjust your leg in full lock turns because your leg can get in the way of the grips. I personally liked my beachbars on my RKC, never thought about it on the SG, but I don't see why not.

Those look great, Is that with a 13" pullback. I like the chubby but think center is to small.

I've been looking at bars for a couple of years, I didn't think apes would have looked right on this bike, I was pretty close to going with the Wild One Chubbys 578s but I wanted to keep the fairing mirrors, I had the LA Choppers installed on Saturday, along with chrome controls.

I have them pushed forward as far as possible, about a 1/4" clearance from the fairing, I wanted to run the clutch cable through the original hole in the fairing but it wasn't happening due to the angle and it would have been too short if it would have worked out.

I plan to get some full bike pictures sometime this week, this is what I have for now.

Comparison to stock bars

Kind of a weird angle on this picture, tried to get a better one but keeps coming out blurry with the garage light reflection

Here's a side shot with the stock bars

Another option to consider is the Khromewerks +2 Wide Sweeper bar. 2 more inches of pullback and about 4" wider than stock bars. Also a much more natural wrist angle. I have them on my SG now, although I am switching to 2+2 sweepers to get a taller bar. Nice thing about the Sweepers is that they are under $100 for the bars.

I have the same bars as Pjones but in black. They are very comfortable and relaxed. I did have to adjust them a couple of times before getting them just right. I forget the brand I bought but they were 1 1/4 bars. I also had to extend the wires since they were way to short for internal wiring.

This is a good thread as I am planning on going for a beach bar on my 97 FLHTC. I would like to read more comments on how it is to live with them.
Then on another question: pjones1969, is that a tweeter module on top of the dash?
