My being an observant and defensive driver and rider is what make me so tired after riding. I some times question if I am really enjoying riding that much when I have to spend so much time watching out for other drivers and riders.

Although most accidents are with cars and trucks, there are a fair amount of riders that should not be on a motorcycle. To many riders are totally oblivious to what's going on around them and think that everyone else is doing what they are suppose to be doing. NOT!

Was taught the same principle in the Army in the 60s. In low light or near dark situations keep your eyes moving while looking for a target. Staring directly at what you think is the target will make it disappear.

That should be incorporated into driving safety classes but I think so many people are not suffering from that in cars because they are looking down whille texting.

I was going to use that analogy but I was concerned most could not relate to that. Did a lot of that while in country.

Those mind games are all over the internet and have absolutely no relationship to riding or driving. Guess we should all be on the look-out for rotating grids and such.
And staring at a potential target makes it disappear? How the hell would we ever be able to shoot the target if we used only our peripheral vision?
Come on now boys....get a grip.

If you fixate on the dot on the left for a full ten minutes, a woman stands in the middle of the screen and takes her clothes off.
