Default New bags, lock is tight

So I got my Fairing Factory bags back and installed... went on pretty smooth if you ask me especially since I read some issues about them. I went to lock my bags today and it was quite stiff once the key was rotated past halfway. Is this normal, did I tighten something too much, or perhaps is it the gasket?

Any info is much appreciated

I'm not certain as to the bags that you are referring to, windshield or are you talking about the lower fairing glove box door locks?

Ok......the fairing statement confused me. The fairing is on the front end. The only time I've experienced any problems with the locks on the tour box or saddlebags was due to something inside the box/bag getting in the way of the locking mechanism it self. Re-open the bag and reposition the contents or lid tether and see if that helps.

Good luck!

Even if your bag is empty the tether can still get caught between the lid and the lower half of the saddlebag. Look for a crease in the fabric when the saddlebag is open. Mine was getting caught in there and when it did the latch was hard to close until I fixed it.

One more suggestion. If the latch is closing and it's just the lock that hard to rotate, check the nut on the end of the lock. Sometimes they get loose and the locking cam moves a bit out of position making it hard to open/close the latch because the cam is getting caught inside the latch mechanism.

If you over tighten the nut on the back of the lock it will be stiff to turn. Did the same thing when I removed my latches to tint the reflectors.

Don't know if this will help, my right side bag had some difficulty closing with the latch one time, because I left it opened and the gasket welled I guess, kept it closed and no more problems.
