Got a whine in the rear
About a 1000 mile back I noticed a whine when I push the bike to the left it seems to be louder now, dont do it when I push to the right. Unlike nascar I do have to turn right. Sounds like a bearing to me but the way noise can transfer it could be from the gears farther forward. Its due for a tire change just rolled over 13,000. I will have the wheel off soon and inspect the bearings. Was there any issues with the 2011 Street Glide bearings? If I do need bearings will the dealer have options as far as quality? Thanks for helping me diagnose this issue.

Tires, but make sure you get everything lubed up well.

Check the rear tire for uneven wear patterns Cupping or scalloping of the rear tire tread can cause the symptoms you're describing. The stock Dunlops will go 20,000 miles, but they usually whine so bad from cupping that most people replace them before they get that far. One gentleman on here recently took a grinder (or similar) and ground the cupped portion away so it was somewhat round again. I'm choosing to go with the Michelin Commander 2's this time around. I've never had a problem with Michelin car tires, I'm hoping to have the same luck with their bike tires.

Your scoot is a 2011?
If so, it should be under warranty and replace the bearing or whatever it is. However, it could be new shoes times as well with your mileage.
I would just bring it to the dealer and let them take care of it if you still have your 2 year warranty.
