It's a Garmin Nuvi 750. It's an older one. I've had it 4 years now. It gets pretty bright. Just washes out a bit in direct sunlight. Not enough for me to be irritated by it. Never seen the 665 so can't compare

+1 on the RAM mount. I use one as well for my 1350. I got heavy rain on the GPS once and the bottom of the display was a bit darker for a week. It's working fine now. Those basic Garmin GPS units are tough as nails...

How do you guys wire the regular garmin's up.....cig lighter or hard-wired,... to where? some place in the fairing or right to the batt.?

Just got my bike yesterday...wont get the repair manuals i just ordered till late june, when i'm going to the US. Having them shipped to a address in the US, since they wont ship to CAN. Sure not buying here. CAN prices suck even more then US prices.

I use the Cig lighter to power the Garmin. I don't have a need to have it hardwired. I used to stuff the excess power wire into the hole where the handlebars come out. Later I spliced the wire to make it shorter. I don't know if you can do that with the newer ones that have traffic, maps, etc.

Thanks for the heads up. I ordered one today from Rebecca, $649.00 shipped. She also said she will order any Harley Davidson parts for 20 percent off list.

The 665 is a water tight sealed unit. When on the bike, it has to have the battery cover on. The USB plug is underneath the battery. It will charge via USB when plugged in to a computer for updates, etc, but you will need the compatible mount for the bike, either handle bar or faring.
